STUDY IN THE KNOWLEDGE CAPITAL OF THE WORLD

Bangalore city is the capital of the Indian state of Karnataka. Located on the Deccan Plateau in the south-eastern part of Karnataka, Bangalore is India’s third most populous city and 5th populous urban agglomeration. Bangalore is famous as a hub for India’s information technology sector. It is among the top 10 preferred industrial locations in the world.

Bangalore also has a nickname – the Silicon Valley of India. As Bangalore is on the Mysore Plateau, the area is also sometimes referred to as “Silicon Plateau.” The name signifies Bangalore’s status as a hub for information technology (IT) companies in India and refers to the original Silicon Valley, based around Santa Clara Valley, California, a major hub for IT companies in the United States.

Bangalore has been the IT capital of India since the late 1980s. In many ways, the culture, climate and progressive nature of entrepreneurs of Bangalore are favorable to pioneering business, much like the San Francisco Bay Area, especially Santa Clara and San Jose. Bangalore has been likened to this region and is hence known as the Silicon Valley of India. Bangalore is actually on a plateau but is also somewhat nestled between some mountainous areas.

As a large and growing city, Bangalore is home to many well-recognized colleges and research institutions in India. It is the knowledge capital of the world. The City consists of numerous public sector heavy industries, technology companies, aerospace, telecommunications, and defense organizations. A demographically diverse city, Bangalore is a significant economic and cultural hub and the second fastest growing major metropolis in India.

Connectivity and availability of large land parcels has turned Bangalore into an IT hub.

Bangalore seems to be holding realty venture latent for residential and commercial enterprises.

Thus, Bangalore is emerging as India’s first and most prominent knowledge city, attracting an aerospace park witnessing around $8-9 billion made by four major global aerospace players and, four defense and research institutions taking up in all 14,000 acres.This is the innovation happening in the city, and this is the eco-system which is building up in Bangalore, this city produces the highest number of PhDs in the world.

A large number of institutes on Management are present in the city and pleasing weather of the city throughout the year has always been a fascination for students from every corner of the world to opt for Bangalore as their study destination.
